Friday (today) May 20th, 7-9:30pm and Sat., May 21st, 9:30am-4:30 pm
Sanctuary at Inner Light Ministries, 5630 Soquel Drive, Soquel, CA 95073
Attendance on Friday evening is a pre-requisite for Saturday workshop. Sliding Scale $40-$120.

Join us for a special introduction to the life and teachings of an inspiring mystic and spiritual teacher. Dr. Howard Thurman was a guide and mentor for Mart Luther King, Jr. and many others in the struggle for freedom, justice and civil rights. Howard Thurman is the thread that weaves together the sacred activism, caring economics and social justice work of Inner Light’s previous distinguished guests Andrew Harvey, Dr. Riane Eisler and Dr. Vincent Harding.

His work speaks directly to today’s personal and social issues, highlighting the powerful connection between spirituality and social transformation. A renowned author, educator and preacher, Thurman co-founded the nation’s first interracial interfaith congregation. Through readings, discussion and audio & video resources we will explore the relevance and implications of his wisdom for contemporary times and consider the practical applications of the principles presented for each participant’s life journey.

All are welcome – newcomers as well as those with some past study of Dr. Thurman.
