This is totally the surfers, skateboarders and snowboarders all time fave to lay it down smooth.

Yield: 5 cups

1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
3 tablespoons frozen orange juice
2 large ripe bananas
1 1/2 teaspoons peanut butter
1/2 cup filtered water
1 cup strawberry-lemonade juice*
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup firm tofu.

Place all the ingredients in a blender, and mix on high speed for 30 seconds.

Pour into mugs or glasses and drink up dude and dudettes.

*Available commercially at natural food stores and some supermarket chains.

Grandpa’s Sweet Potato

In addition to being one of Grandpa Jerry’s favorite recipes for the holidays, sweet potatoes are very rich in niacin. And Grandpa’s not the only lover of sweet potato!

Yield: 4 1/2 cups

1 cup chopped, cooked sweet potato*
2 cups orange juice
1 banana
1/2 cup marshmallows
1/2 cup light brown sugar

Place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend on medium speed for 1 minute.

Pour into mugs or bowls and serve up healthy sweetness.

*Bake sweet potatoes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes, or until soft.

1/2 cup wheatgrass juice
1 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
4 tablespoons lime juice
12 ice cubes, crushed

Place ingredients in a blender, and blend on high speed for 30 seconds.
Pour into small glasses and get ready to take off.

1large nectarine, peeled and sliced
2 frozen bananas (thawed and sliced)
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup kiwi-strawberry juice (or equivalent fruit)

Place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend on medium speed for 30 seconds.

Pour into tall glasses and serve quietly. You never know who may be listening.

4 large mushrooms (shitake, oyster, or white), diced
4 large strawberries
1 large banana
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup boysenberry juice
1/4 cup cranberry juice

1 1/2 teaspoons tahini
1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
2 ice cubes

Place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend on medium for 45 seconds.

Pour into tall glasses and serve carefully. Do not drink in excess unless you are prepared for some dangerous liaisons.
